Sony has beat out the iPod in this race.  The W Series Walkman MP3 Player  has become official digital music player for the Rock n’ Roll Marathon Series.  This event starts on National Running Day, June 2nd and combines music and sports by having local bands play music while runners race and raise money for charity.  The series includes fourteen running events around the U.S.  and is said to be the largest and most attended marathon in the world giving Sony huge coverage for this product.
