Sony's 2011 65-inch XBR-HX929, Gets a Price. We Have Specs, Including Dimensions

For nearly 8 months now, we’ve known about the 2011 XBR line, the HX929. Previously, we’d reported that the lineup consisted of three sizes, a 46-, 55-, and 65-inch. Till now, we had all the specs and pricing from the 46″ and 55″ flagship 3D TVs from Sony and during this time, Sony had even released a firmware update for the lineup. However, pricing and dimensions of the top tier 65-inch model had been nonexistent before today. With the 65-inch XBR-HX929 finally hitting Sony’s online store for pre-order with an September 4th release date, we can finally report to you the missing information which you will find after the jump, including specs.

First, let’s talk price. Currently, the 46-inch comes in at $2,999, while the 55-inch will cost you $3,799 and the newly-announced and soon-to-be-released 65-inch finish off the series at $5,999. Keep in mind that the given prices are MSRP and can usually be found for cheaper at retailers. Sony is also currently running a sale on the 46-inch for $2,519 and the 55-inch for $3,149. Long-time readers will know that I currently own a 60″ Sony SXRD and have been waiting for a proper replacement. Not wanting to settle for something smaller (the problem of owning a larger TV), the 65-inch XBR will be my future purchase. Of course, the price point is currently a little out of my reach, seeing how this site is financed out of my own pocket, but in the next few months, she will sit mighty and proud in my living room!
