Remember Ubisoft’s really cool, yet really abrupt game teaser from E3 2008? The one where a number of men fought for one bottle of water? The title was I Am Alive, a surivival game that disappeared into obscurity after its initial tease.
Well it looks like the game survived, and will be coming this winter to the PlayStation Network as a downloadable title. I Am Alive tells the story of a regular every-man who is caught in the middle of a catastrophic natural disaster.
Hit the jump for more information about I Am Alive.
With a city in ruins, millions of people dead, and survivors killing each other off for whatever food is left, he must fight for survival in his quest to find and save his wife and child.
Just like in the trailer, combat in I Am Alive is all about intimidation and less on killing or hurting other people. The protagonist is a peaceful man, just fighting to keep himself hydrated enough to save his family. Expect to use weapons like pistols and a bow and arrows to scare people away from you. Combat details are rather scarce right now, but we’ll keep you informed once we learn more about the game.
Again, I Am Alive is coming to the PSN as a downloadable title this winter. Stay tuned for more details on I Am Alive.
