According to a post on the PlayStation Blog earlier today, the much-anticipated Square Enix classic RPG Chrono Trigger is coming to the PlayStation Network on the next update this coming Tuesday.
This role-playing classic first gained popularity when it was released on the Super Nintendo almost 16 years ago. Chrono Trigger featured one of the funniest and most unique cast of characters ever assembled. The game saw a release on the original PlayStation as part of the 2-disc Final Fantasy Chronicles Collection in 2001.

The first in the Chrono series from what used to be Squaresoft, Chrono Trigger tells the story of Chrono, a child that was chosen by guardian spirits to save the world from ultimate devastation.
Even though the end of the world isnt until the year 1999, Chrono’s mission is to travel through time to change events throughout history in order to stop the evil Lavos from executing his plan. During his journey, Chrono will meet a number of characters from different time periods that will help him fight monsters and hopefully defeat Lavos.
