If you’re looking to get into 4K but want to save a little bit of money then right now may be the best time to act. At CES 2014, Sony announced three new lines to their 4K XBR series, the XBR-X950B, XBR-X900B, and XBR-X850B which will be released in Spring 2014. To help make room for the new models, Sony is placing a rather nice sale on their 2013 line of 4K XBR televisions which includes the XBR-X900A and XBR-850A. So what do the new prices look like? Lets talk numbers, after the jump.

Sony 4K XBR 55-inch:

• XBR-55X900A – $4,999.99 $3,499.99
• XBR-55X850A – $4,499.99 $ 2,999.99

Sony 4K XBR 65-inch:

• XBR-65X900A – $6,999.99 $4,999.99
• XBR-65X850A – $6,499.99 $4,499.99

As a quick recap, the X900A offers a few features which the X850A does not have which include:

• 4K X-Reality PRO Picture Engine
• 65W Magnetic Fluid front-facing speaker (6x)
• Smartphone Mirroring

As for myself, once the 2014 XBR-65X900B hits store shelves, I’ll be lining up to purchase one.

As our reader “Greg Cox” has pointed out, Sony offers the X-Reality PRO Picture Engine and Smartphone Mirroring on both the X900A and X850A .
