More Hints of Minor 4.3 Update for Xperia M (Updated)

Recently we found what appeared to be new firmware coming for the Xperia M via a major global network, a minor bug-fixing update that many users have been asking for. It’s not unusual for such an update to follow a major uplift.

This would be a timely update as the latest Jellybean version that was released brought elegance and a few bugs for users ranging from uninstallable Xperia themes to bluetooth turning itself off.

What’s appearing looks like fairly early testing so nothing is coming tomorrow. This reveal comes 10 weeks since 4.3 was originally tested, so things are looking good for some fixes. This fresh hint appeared just a few hours ago…

Software Testing 4.3 Jellybean Xperia M

This appeared on April 10th. The same title “feature release 2” is there, but now a test failure is indicated as you can see. Hiccups surely happen from time to time with firmware, given the hundreds of devices and firmware that come out but at least we know that something is in the pipeline.

The next that may happen could be; Sony provides fresh software for testing, this global network tests it, if it passes then it may appear certified, then a release follows. It will start to appear with other major networks by that stage.

The Xperia TX has the same issue with 4.3 firmware as the data shows. The SP is likely to get 4.3 soon while the KitKat hasn’t yet been tested for the Z, so owners will have to wait a while longer there.

Let us know if your one of many users that like the goodies that 4.3 brings yet find your device a bit buggy…
