Major Server Side ‘DriveClub’ Update In The Next 24 Hours

DriveClub_Racing

If you’re experiencing issues with DriveClub at the moment, it’s more likely due to the PSN maintenance that’s currently taking place than an issue with DriveClub. That doesn’t mean though that the game’s network capabilities are fully functioning. Despite being delayed by more than 6 months, DriveClub, which was released nearly a week ago, has been hampered by major online problems. Luckily, Evolution Studios has been working around the clock to patch the game and things have already improved dramatically. However, work remains on the highly-anticipated game and hopefully the next major update will further help DriveClub stabilize.

After the jump, more details on the massive server side DriveClub update.

According to Game Director Paul Rustchynsky,

Continual upgrades to the DriveClub servers are building a steady increase in performance, meaning that we’re getting more and more players connected.

The next server update is coming within 24 hours and will mean we can start to switch on more of the online features, so that you will be able to play more of DriveClub online.

We are sorry that we don’t have more concrete news to share right now, but please be patient. We will have more information for you tomorrow.

For what it’s worth, Rustchynsky and team have kept an open channel to fans via Facebook where they’ve been providing updates nearly once a date. Hopefully this massive new server side update will help put the game on track though it’s likely that more patches will be required before the game is fully functioning. Gamers should also note that the following patches are server side and won’t result in you needing to download a game update.

Have server side issues hampered your enthusiasm for the game or once things are fully working, will all be forgiven?
