As expected, at MWC 2015, Sony has officially unveiled the accidentally-leaked Xperia Z4 Tablet and it’s a powerhouse. A successor to the Xperia Z2 Tablet, the Xperia Z4 Tablet has some of the latest and most powerful technologies like an insane 8-core processor with 3GB RAM in a design that’s even thinner than its predecessor. Best of all, the new and insanely thin Xperia Z4 Tablet doesn’t skimp out on visual quality with a 10.1-inch IPS 2K (2560 x 1600) display that offers 17-hours of video playback.

Building on the success of its predecessor, we wanted to take all of the qualities that consumers loved most in Xperia Z2 Tablet and enhance them for Z4 Tablet. Consumers appreciate innovation most when it can bring real value to their lives, so we have carefully crafted and considered every aspect of Z4 Tablet to meet even the most demanding lifestyle. Sleek and lightweight, yet incredibly powerful, with standout entertainment and smart productivity features, Xperia Z4 Tablet is an extraordinary tablet that fits perfectly into your day-to-day life.
Utilizing Sony’s Triluminos technology and X-Reality Mobile engine, Sony has equipped the Z4 Tablet with a 2K screen that offers a pixel density of 300ppi which will surely result in a beautiful screen. Helping drive the screen will be two separate processors which in total will provide 8-cores of 64-bit computing power. Specifically, you’ll find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip with a four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four Cortex-A53 working at 1.5GHz. On the GPU side, you’ll find an Adreno 430 with 3GB RAM.
If that power and drool-worthy screen makes you want to consume, then Sony is happy to oblige. The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet will come with 32GB memory and expandable memory (up to 128GB) for your movies, music, and photos. Speaking of photos, you’ll find a rear 8-megapixel Sony ExmorRS camera and 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera. Seeing how consumption is the game with the Z4 Tablet, you can count on the stereo speakers to provide a more filling sound while those wanting the ultimate experience will be happy to know about the tablets built in noise cancelation abilities. With a 6,000 mAh battery , Sony claims you’ll be able to enjoy 17-hours of video playback.
Other tidbits include GSM, 3G, and 4G LTE antennas to ensure you’re connected to the fastest speeds possible. When traveling, you won’t have to worry too much about the Z4, seeing how it’s IP68-certified (water- and dust-proof) and can last up to 30 minutes into 1.5m deep fresh water. Weighing in at 395g at just 6.1mm thick, traveling with the Z4 shouldn’t be a problem either. When launched in June, you’ll find the Xperia Z4 Tablet in white or black with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Sony has yet to announce a price.
