It’s time for the Sony community to rejoice. Remember how Sony said time and time again that Android 5.0 Lollipop would only come to Xperia Z devices? Well, it seems like the company for the better has backtracked on its previous plans and plans to bring Android 5.0 to the Xperia C3 and it’s monster 6-inch Xperia T2 Ultra. More details after the jump.
It’s unclear why Sony has changed course but it never made much since to limit Lollipop to just Xperia Z devices. Though not huge in volume sales, Sony’s other devices are at times just as powerful as their flagship devices and therefor lack anything in hardware to hold them back from gaining Android 5.0 Lollipop. Sony has yet to offer a specific date when Android 5.0 will arrive on the Xperia C3 and T2 Ultra but when it does arrive, it will be Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. Just last week, Sony released Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact and their recently revealed Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia M4 Aqua will launch later this Spring with Android 5.0.2.

Are there other Sony devices not getting Android 5.0 that should?
