House of Wolves, the upcoming DLC for Destiny, is just around the corner – but an update that would prep the game for it has just been delayed. Set to be released yesterday, Bungie has since delayed the release with a TBA timeline. Destiny update 1.2 was targeted at all Destiny players and not just for those getting House of Wolves and will bring with it, among other changes, the removal of Commendations, making it easier to acquire new weapons and gear.
But now, thanks a technical issue, we’ll have to wait longer. Bungie’s comments after the jump.
From the Bungie forums
Good morning, Guardians (or afternoon or evening, wherever you are).
I’ve spoken with the finest minds at Bungie about Update 1.2.0 just moments ago. They’re working to correct a late-breaking technical issue that would have impacted the way the game launches for a large portion of you. Progress is being made.
We’ll be sharing new details on the deployment schedule that leads to House of Wolves as soon as they become facts. At the very least, you’ll hear from me once a day about this. Hang in there, and thank you for your patience.
DeeJ, out.
It’s unclear at this time if this will have any effect on House of Wolves, but it’s not a stretch to imagine that the team is working overtime to ensure House of Wolves is released on the 19th without any hiccups. Those who have the Destiny season pass will automatically receive House of Wolves once released.
