In mid-March, T-Mobile confirmed their intentions to bring Android 5.0 Lollipop to the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z1s. A month later, Lollipop would be certified by them for the Xperia Z1s though the company has yet to release the new OS for Sony’s two smartphones. Now, thanks to a new listing from T-Mobile, it seems that we’re closer than ever to receiving Android 5.0 on the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z1s.
Details after the jump.
According to the software update page on T-Mobile
Android 5.0 “Lollipop”
During this stage, the device will go through T-Mobile certification process testing to make sure you get the best quality software possible.
While mum is the word about the exact release date, the arrival of Android 5.0 Lollipop is likely around the corner. Generally unless something truly new is discovered, most certification processes don’t take too long. Especially considering that Android 5.0 Lollipop has been out for sometime and any obvious bugs would have been caught by now. We’ll keep you updated once the new OS is available on T-Mobile.
