Android 5.1.1 Coming to Sony Mobile Later This Month

According to Sony Mobile, later this month, those who reside in Japan will be getting Android 5.1.1. Devices to get the new update include

  • Sony Xperia Z2
  • Sony Xperia Z3
  • Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet
  • Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact

Currently it’s unclear exactly what the full changelog of Android 5.1.1 will be. However we do know enhancements will include

  • New options for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth from the notification menu
  • New animations for switching settings
  • New icons within the settings menu

It’s believed that additional devices and regions will begin to receive Android 5.1.1 after the update hits Japan though no specific timeframe has been revealed.
