Knowing that the 42.4 megapixel full-frame Sony A7R II isn’t for everyone, Sony last week unveiled the A7s II full-frame DSLR. Packing in a mirrorless 12-megapixel sensor, the newest professional camera from Sony is capable of recording 4K video with an internal recorder (3,840 x 2,160) at 24 or 30fps. Priced and dated for Europe, North American fans were left to ponder when they’d get their chase to shoot with the latest from Sony.
Luckily, after the jump, we have the Sony A7s II US ship date and price.
Though not very specific, the Sony A7s II will ship in late October and is priced at $2,999.99 for the body. Just as a highlight, the A7s II offers
- 12.2MP Full-Frame Exmor CMOS Sensor
- BIONZ X Image Processor
- Internal UHD 4K (30fps) & 1080p (120fps) Recording
- S-Log3 Gamma and Display Assist Function
- 5-Axis SteadyShot INSIDE Stabilization
- 0.5″ 2.36m-Dot XGA OLED Tru-Finder EVF
- 3.0″ 1,228,800-Dot Tilting LCD Monitor
- Up to 5 fps Shooting and ISO 409600
- Fast Intelligent AF, 169 AF Points
- Built-In Wi-Fi with NFC
Perhaps what’s interesting about the A7s II is that, despite its lower specs, it’s priced not that far from the A7R II which carries a $3,200 price tag.
