The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium was always going to arrive after the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact. With the flagship phone having launched last week in the UK via Carphone Warehouse, more European countries and carriers are now starting to offer the phone.
Offers and availability currently vary with Clove and Unlocked Mobiles carrying the Z5 Premium while 02 has exclusivity (though likely not for a long period of time) on the gold model.
As far as pricing goes, things seem a bit all over the place. While in the UK, £629.99 will get you the Z5 Premium, in other countries like Germany and France, you’ll have to fork up €799. Unfortunately as always, finding out pricing and color options from different retailers and carriers is a bit difficult and Sony doesn’t make it much easier with a portal that lays out all that info.
Seeing how I don’t live in Europe, it’s hard for me to gauge if the prices on the Z5 Premium are, well, too premium, or if it matches with the phone’s flagship status and high-end features.
Discuss:
Do you think the Z5 Premium is priced appropriately or is Sony scaring would-be buyers away?
