If you’ve been running the Android Marshmallow Concept trails on your Xperia phone then you’re in for an early Christmas gift from Sony. The company has announced that they plan on extending the trials past New Year and don’t have a specific date for bringing it to a close. Initially the trials were set to conclude by weeks end. Apparently Sony thinks the trials are

 going in a good way and think it would be a pity to end it already 

Well pity it won’t be now. More after the jump.

In terms of when it will all end, Sony say

 that they “do not know when we will stop this concept right now” and that they do not know about the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow time plans. 

It will be interesting to see the fruits of this project come 2016. T-Mobile Poland has already leaked that Sony will be releasing two new smartphones in the first half of 2016 and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the software choices they’ve been developing and testing with the Marshmallow Concept Trials to make their way to them.
