With the initial orders of the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive starting to trickle into consumer hands, all eyes are on Sony and PlayStation VR. While we’ve seen quite few of PS VR games and the final hardware build, Sony has been mum on the device’s specifics like UI navigation and price. Speculation has ranged from $399 to $699 with the only word from Sony being that PS VR will be

 priced as a new gaming platform. 

Luckily, we might not have to wait much longer to find out. Details about the PlayStation VR press event after the jump.

Sony has sent out invites for an exclusive press event that will take place on March 15th in San Fransisco. According to Sony:

 This invite-only event begins with a PlayStation VR presentation at 2:00 PM PT followed by hands-on demos until 6:00 PM PT. 

It’s unclear if we’ll be getting a price point and/or release date but many are hopeful. Just last week, GameStop CEO gave his thoughts about VR and indicated that we won’t be seeing Sony’s headset till Fall. Sony quickly refuted the claim, which is no shocker. Up until now, we’ve been told that PS VR would land some time in the first half of 2016 and we have little to go by that something’s changed. Hopefully, we’ll learn all we want to know about PlayStation VR come March 15th.
