Just days ago, Square Enix took to the stage to announce a plethora of content related to the much delayed Final Fantasy XV. Revealed nearly a decade ago, fans will finally be able to play the highly-anticipated title come September 30th. In addition to the game’s reveal, Square also released a short demo for the game which helps show off their environmental engine, a new mobile game which also appears as a mini game in FFXV, and an anime series (Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV) which helps fill in the backstory of the game and a full animated movie, Kingsglaive, which depicts the events that lead up to where the game begins.
Yea, it’s a lot, I know. At least we now have some closure on why it’s been taking Square so long to release FFXV. One thing that Square didn’t have time to show off though is their ever growing MMORPG, FFXIV, and I can’t blame them, seeing how much they already had to talk about. With new content always coming for the game, Square has taken the unprecedented measure of meshing their crafted digital world with the real world and announced a new clean energy and ride sharing initiative.
The idea of itself is frankly quite grand and could really challenge competitors like Lyft and Uber. The only problem is that Square is never known for being ‘fast’ at something as we can see with FFXV, nor are they a tech company – but I’m hopeful.

Would you use this over Uber?
