Engadget – 90 Second Sony Xperia X Performance Review

Many of you and reviewers haven’t been that impressed with the Xperia X lineup, including the Performance version. As Engadget writes for their Xperia X Performance review:

The Xperia X Performance isn’t a bad phone, per se. It’s just that Sony’s newest flagship doesn’t bring anything new to the table. For $700, it offers fast performance (as its name suggests), and the design is water resistant, so that’s nice.

And that’s been the sentiment all around right? It’s not that the Xperia X or X Performance are bad phones. In fact, they’re both actually great phones but for the price, we would all have liked to see more. Ultimately the staff at Engadget wrote:

Sony, what are you doing? Though the $700 Xperia X Performance features a flagship-level processor and runs well as a result, Sony apparently didn’t feel the need to bring anything new to the table. What we have here is a reasonably good smartphone that lacks soul or ambition, and ultimately costs too much for what it is.

Do you think the Xperia X Performance reviews would have been better had it launched with a lower price?
