Sure Sony just unveiled the ultra-premium ZD9 series which is offered in three different sizes, including a 100-inch model that may just cost more than your house but that doesn’t mean they don’t have something for you and I – you know, the common people. Jokes aside, while the ZD9 is obviously designed to cater to the premium clientele that Sony should cater to, the company has also unveiled a lineup designed to satisfy the masses, the X700D, X750D, and X800D which start at just $749.
Sony XBR-X700D
- 49-inch – $799.99
- 55-inch – $899.99
Sony XBR-X750D
- 65-inch – $1,499.99
Sony XBR-X800D
- 43-inch – $749.99
- 49-inch – $899.99
While Android TV will be natively installed across all three lines, the X700D and X750D lack HDR support while the X800D will receive HDR compatibility in the future via a firmware update. Keep in mind that HDR compatibility and native support are apparently two very different things as I’ve just learned today. I’ll be covering that topic in a later piece but as a rule of thumb, obviously entry model TVs won’t be able to offer the same quality as high-end models like the X930D.

Do any of the above TVs interest you?
