Pre-orders of PlayStation VR sold out pretty quickly and every subsequent pre-order stock of them has met a similar fate. Demand is, in fact, so high (though high should be kept in context with supply that likely isn’t in the millions upon millions) that Amazon has stated those in the UK who pre-ordered might not get their hands on a headset till November. Luckily a lot of retailers like Best Buy and GameStop are stepping up with midnight launch events and perhaps more importantly, PS VR units.

DualShockers writes that, like Best Buy which will hold a launch event at 350 stores, GameStop will also be getting in on the midnight launch fun.

 While the announcement did not mention what kind of allocation the retailer will have available, they also announced that over 1,600 stores across the United States will be open for the launch at 12:01 EDT on October 13th. 

According to GameStop, inventory at their stores will be limited with more availability on their online store. However, for anybody who wasn’t able to secure a PS VR pre-order, it’s looking like you’ll have a good chance at finding one on October 13th.
