DISH Network, DIRECTV and AT&T U-verse TV users will soon have a new channel to view: the Sony Movie Channel. Just like pay per view channels, as well as HBO and Showtime, the Sony Movie Channel will provide unedited movies without commercials. Tapping into Sony’s vast library of both old and new movies, the channel will be broadcasted in glorious high definition.
“We’re seeing a strong demand for high definition movie content,” said Andy Kaplan, president, networks, Sony Pictures Television. “In an effort to meet consumers’ needs, Sony Movie Channel was designed specifically for the Hollywood movie fan, bringing our high-quality catalogue of feature films directly to viewers.”
