Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection Preview

Both games will be remastered in HD and will feature PlayStation Move control compatibility. Both chronicles games originally started out as Wii-exclusive titles and re-tell the Resident Evil saga in first-person light gun play modes. Players will have to survive non-stop zombie and B.O.W assaults from all sides as they manage their ammo, health, and inventory items while keeping eyes out for hidden information that shed more light on the secrets of the Umbrella conspiracy.

Undead menace in Resident Evil Zero (Umbrella Chronicles)

Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection revisits past plots from the series and exposes Umbrella Corporation’s secrets and untold stories, The Umbrella Chronicles features eight playable characters, including Rebecca Chambers, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. As seen previously in the version for the Wii system from Nintendo, the title also features a brand new chapter in Resident Evil history.

The other , more recent game in the collection, The Darkside Chronicles plot takes players back to the story of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield trying to escape the nightmares of Raccoon City, while finally revealing the truth behind Leon and Krauser’s feud.

Revisit Raccoon City in first person view

With the PlayStation Move’s 1:1 motion control, Resident Evil: Chronicles’ shooting is going to be more precise, giving players the advantage over the undead menace overpopulating Raccoon City. Those without the PlayStation Move controller can still enjoy the game using the DualShock 3 controller which still provides seamless gameplay without the need for a motion controller. Both games can be played alone or with a friend using two Move controllers. It will also feature compatibility support for the PlayStation Sharpshooter Peripheral for the Move.

Again, the RE: Chronicles Collection will be available for download on the PlayStation Store in June of 2012. The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil™: The Darkside Chronicles will also be available for purchase individually at a later date.
