Originally hailed as a launch title for the PS4, DriveClub has been hailed as a racing game with a deep social connection that will set it apart from other franchises like Gran Turismo and Forza. Realizing that the game’s main differentiator wasn’t up to par, Evolution Studios announced the game’s indefinite delay and recently revised that timeframe to Fall 2014 when the game will arrive exclusively on PS4. While we don’t have all the details on the game’s social capabilities quite yet, we do know that the team has been working hard and improving the game’s already luscious visuals.

Running at 1080p 30/fps, the DriveClub trailer after the jump will surely leave you drooling with gameplay directly captured from the PS4 featuring a Pagani Zonda R racing from dusk till dark.

Besides the gorgeous and seamless transition from dusk till dark, it’s worth noting the reflection details nearly 2 minutes into the trailer which show off the games capability to render in real time the surrounding areas. Light details are also impressive as the Zonda headlights illuminate the racetrack at night. DriveClub will be released as a full version to retailers alongside the DriveClub PlayStation Plus Edition for free to members of PS+.
