Being in the right place at the right time got us the opportunity to reveal LittleBigPlanet 3 prior to the game’s announcement at E3. Since that time, we’ve come to learn that LittleBigPlanet 3 is coming to the PlayStation 4 and will allow gamers to play the over 7 million levels created by the community in the previous two installments with improved graphics. The fact that LBP 3 was coming to PS4 wasn’t all that surprising, seeing how Sony announced months back that all first party studios had begun developing exclusively on the PS4. Now, it seems like there is hope for LittleBigPlanet 3 to arrive on PlayStation 3 as well.

According to Steven Isbell, one of the leads on LittleBigPlanet 3, the game is coming to PS3 owners as well:

Till now, there has been little mention from Sony about the game coming to any other platform other than PS4 and it goes against their stance of all first party studios working exclusively on PS4. Then again, LBP 3 is not being made by Media Molecule which could leave wiggle room on how Sony is treating this particular franchise. With E3 only its first day, there are still lots of fine details that have yet to trickle out and Steven may have simply jumped the gun on information that may soon be revealed.
