Over the past year, PlayStation has been steadily upping its exposure to mobile by releasing applications on iOS and Android that enhance the user experience. One such application has been the PlayStation App which allows you to control PS4 and send messages to other PSN users, amongst other things.
Now, Sony is releasing another app dubbed PlayStation Network on Android.
The PlayStation Network app, though new, isn’t something entirely earth-shattering. Instead, what the app aims to do is tie together the different apps and services PlayStation offers on Android. In fact, it’s probably best to think of the new PlayStation Network app as more of a hub which houses the following apps
- PlayStation
- Remote Play
- PS Video
- PS Music
Currently, the app is only available for Xperia owners running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and higher though it’s not quite available on Google Play. You can download the PlayStation Network App APK from the link below and install it as normal (no root required). It’s unclear if Sony plans to bring something similar to iOS or not.
