As you all likely know, Sony Mobile has one of the weirdest release patterns, opting to release their devices months apart between different territories. The Xperia M5 is no different, and was released way back in August in select countries. Making matters worse is that not only is the Xperia M5 an extremely powerful mid-range phone, but that it’s also been received well by consumers and press.
Now that’s going to change. Not the weird pattern part of course, just the availability of the Xperia M5.
Sony Mobile Poland and Netherlands have already confirmed that the Xperia M5 will arrive from the middle of February, with other key European regions also expected to announce availability in due course. Pricing for the handset has not been revealed,
More after the jump.
I wrote then that the Xperia M5 features a:
powerful 21.5-megapixel Exmoor RS camera sensor that’s capable of shooting 4K video with faster phase detection autofocus. Sony has also made the Xperia M5 more durable with a IP65/68 water- and dust-resistance design that should withstand your heaviest party nights. Other specs are:
- 64-bit 2GHz MediaTek X10 processor
- 3GB of RAM
- 2,930mAh battery
- 16GB internal memory
- microSD
- Android 5.0
- 4G
Another neat feature of the Xperia M5 is its fast-focusing hybrid AF camera that is able to focus on multiple points at any given time and snap a photo about as quick as you can click on the shutter button, or so Sony claims. More details regarding exact release date and price should be revealed soon.
