‘Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection’ Receives an Epic Story Trailer

Uncharted_The_Nathan_Drake_Collection_BoxArriving on October 9th, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is bringing the three previous installments of Nathan Drake to the PS4 in a big way. Alongside improved visuals, you can expect new difficulty modes/balancing (and trophies to go along with them) though sadly multiplayer won’t be making the cut. On the upside, you’ll get access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta, so that should make up for it.

Beyond a gorgeous and vivid world that’s beautifully depicted, thanks to the artistry of Naughty Dog, Uncharted is vast with rich characters and tantalizing storylines that get you invested in the characters and their faits.

After the jump, an epic story trailer for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection that’s worthy of the series.

Xur Has Gjallarhorn (and How to Get Enough Strange Coins)

Destiny_Gjallarhorn_Render

Stop what you’re doing -even if it’s open heart surgery! – as Xur has once again stocked up on the infamous Gjallarhorn. That’s right, for the price of just 17 Strange Coins, you and your loved ones can experience all that is almost awesome (will be fully awesome once you have Wolf Pack rounds). For the unacquainted, the Gjallarhorn is the strongest weapon in Destiny and a rare one to find. Even more rare is Xur selling one. At last count, I believe only one other time has Xur, the black arms dealer who appears over the weekend and disappears before midnight on Sundays offered this exotic weapon.

If you’re short on coins, you can find our guide after the jump with tips on how to attain Strange Coins (including an easy way to get 9) and the hilarity that has ensued on Twitter over players going nuts for the rare beast.

‘Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection’ Won’t Feature Multiplayer

Uncharted_3_Multiplayer

For those unfamiliar, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4 will features all three previous installments with better lighting, textures, and models that will run at 1080p/60fps. Visual improvements aside, you can also expect no difficulty options, trophies, and even a photo mode. However, unlike Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 which shipped with multiplayer, this collection will be missing those features.

PlayStation 4 Firmware 3.0 Details Leak

PS4_20th_Annivesary

As always, before I get into the juicy details, keep in mind that all “leaked” information should be taken with a grain of salt until we hear directly from Sony. As is with such things, details are subject to change till the last minute so even if a feature exists in the beta today, it doesn’t mean it will be in the find build. With that out of the way, news come about a small private beta taking place in Japan for PlayStation 4 firmware 3.0.

The last major firmware update the PS4 received was earlier this year (firmware 2.5) and brought some great features to the console. However with firmware 3.0, Sony is looking to add a lot of social features like direct live broadcasts to YouTube.

Lets talk details after the jump.

The kicker for all this? The PS4 Universal Media Remote isn’t made by Sony.

PlayStation 4 Mobile Projector – AKA Sony MP-CL1 Portable Laser Projector

PlayStation_4_Mobile_Projector_2Previously known as the MP-CL1 Portable Laser Projector, Sony is tapping into their electronics arm to help beef up the PlayStation ecosystem. Dubbed the PlayStation 4 Mobile Projector, this new accessory will allow gamers to take their PS4 anywhere and easily play on, thanks to its compact design. Sony was able to achieve this by utilizing laser to power the projector and not the typical bulb system which in turn also requires a fan to keep it cool. Those two things alone cause typical projectors to be far more bulky.

After the jump, more details and pictures.

‘DriveClub’ Races Past 2 Million Sales Prior to PS+ Edition

DriveClub_BMW_M4

DriveClub, the exclusive PS4 arcade racer by Evolution Studios started with a troubled life on PS4. After a long delay, the game launched with completely broken servers which hampered the game’s experience, seeing how it is built around a connected world. This eventually led to layoffs at the studio yet despite all of this, the Evolution Studios stood by their game and addressed all connectivity issues, but has also brought an extensive list of DLC, many free, which include new tracks and cars.

Now comes news that DriveClub has raced past (couldn’t help myself) the 2 million units sold mark, prior to the release of their free PlayStation Plus Edition. And you know what? They deserve that milestone, seeing how DriveClub is one of the most fun games on PS4. More details after the jump.

So what can we expect from the update? Those details after the jump.
