Star Wars: Battlefront Trailer and 6 HD Screenshots

Star_Wars_Battlefront_2

Last night, thanks to the fantastically awesome and second Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser, the internets both imploded and exploded at the same time. Not being a fan of spoilers, I had initiated the “head in the sand’ protocol out of fear of too many spoilers from the movie, the same thing that I believe is currently plaguing Avengers: Age of Ultron in which case I feel as if the whole movie has been shown. Not wanting to eventually run into a screenshot of a pivotal scene from the trailer that would ruin a surprise, I finally caved in and saw the trailer which holds no punches yet reveals very little still, thanks to the mastery of J.J. Abrams. For those who haven’t seen it yet, the trailer can be found after the jump.

Less than 24 hours later, the internet is once again experiencing the impossible implosion/explosion. If the film trailer from yesterday can be described as having the destruction power of a fully operational Death Star, then today’s trailer from Star Wars: Battlefront likely packs the punch of a Star Destroyer. Much like the film teasers, the trailer gives away very little but what can be seen is impressive. That trailer, HD screenshots from it, more details, and a special stitched together widescreen image await you after the jump.

LittleBigPlanet 3 Update 1.06 is 616MB, Brings Major Fixes

LittleBigPlanet_3

Sometimes it’s hard to differentiate the difference between downloading a new game and a software update when the update alone is over 600MB. Such is the case of LittleBigPlanet 3 update 1.06, which was released for PS4 (616MB) and PS3 (162MB). The update is designed to address a number of fixes to help improve the game’s stability and remedy a number of issues which will be outlined after the jump.

Quick Thoughts on ‘Valiant Hearts: The Great War’

1180-eprofits-game-of-the-week-valiant-hearts-the-great-war-1

In Flanders fields the poppies blow,

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky,

The larks, still bravely singing, fly,

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

These words were written by Lt. Col. John McCrae during the Great War (1914-18). Here in Canada, across Europe and other former British Colonies we marked the centennial anniversary of the start of the First World War this past July. Just prior to that on June 24th 2014 Ubisoft Montpellier released a small game to commemorate the occasion. After the jump, we have the details on this bite sized, but highly rated game.

Big Changes Coming with Destiny Update 1.1.2, Includes Suspend/Resume

Destiny_Update_112_Vault

With PlayStation 4 system update 2.50, gamers were granted the ability to suspend/resume a game which translates into drastically shorter times when turning off/on your console and getting back into your previous game. While many games support the feature right out of the gate, Destiny, one of the most popular games on PS4, lacked the ability to utilize the newly added feature. With Destiny update 1.1.2, all that will change as Bungie will bake in the functionality. Beyond that, other major tweaks will be coming to Destiny like larger vault sizes in preparation for the upcoming House of Wolves expansion.

More details after the jump.
